I own this watch as well and it’s my favorite in the collection. I had previously owned the Smiths Everest PRS-25 from Timefactors and got rid of it once I picked up the Vaer. In my opinion the Vaer is better in every way. It doesn’t try to copy Rolex like Smiths and has a better dial, case, movement, crown, and bracelet.
I have a friend who is a watchmaker and he was able to remove the ghost position for me. He ordered a setting bridge with 2 positions and removed the date wheel. It is now a true no date movement. Here is the link for the part if you’re interested in doing the same https://www.jewelerssupplies.com/product9996.html
I enjoyed reading your review of this watch. Vaer is doing some really great things!
