Oh I dabble in watch creation (check my instagram if you are interested in tools/machinery etc. Mostly I work on building bit of an odd ball minute repeater from scratch but recently I thought I would mill a case and modify an Elgin pocket watch movement to power a copy of a 17th century Sun and Moon watch as a wristwatch (since the other is taking me so long just accumulating the needed tooling). Something along the lines of this.
Yep. If you need a watch that you never have to think about you can't beat a solar powered perpetual calendar with some water resistance and a near zero replacement value haha. This one in particular with its streamlined, integrated bracelet also doesn't catch on anything which keeps it from scratching things throughout the day.
