Have you regretted a Watch purchase?

Last year I really wanted the Tudor BB58. I tried it on and thought it was too small for my wrist at the time, so I brought the heritage BB41 instead. Since recently owning a Explorer 36, I have come to love smaller watches and while the BB41 is a great watch, it’s just too large and thick and therefore I find myself regretting the purchase. So much so that I want to sell it and purchase the new BB54.

Why not sell the BB41 for the BB58 that you really wanted? Why swing from big to small and not get the one you really wanted?

Good question. The BB54 is a bit smaller at 37mm than the BB58, with the same design, while being a tad bit thinner and has a T-fit clasp. I will have to try on both on wrist in a store before making a decision but I am leaning towards the 54 at the moment.

Before purchasing the Omega railmaster, I was torn between the BB58 and the Omega. The 41mm BB58 was just too big and chunky, so I tried on the 39mm and still, it felt bigger than it should be. The Omega happens to be a 40mm, but wears so much smaller with its short lugs. I can only imagine that the BB54 will wear incredibly well 👍

I was comparing the 58 v 54 for months. Finally got to try both on at the same time, and chose the 54. I’m glad I did. While I preferred the bezel minute marks on the 58, the 54 sits better on my 6.75” wrist, but doesn’t look small at all. The kicker that sold me on the 54 was the T-fit clasp. I’ve used it a ton in just a month since I’ve had it. The minute hash marks difference just melted away. If I really need that level of timing, I’ll get a chronograph.

You’ll make the right choice for you.

The Orient divers were my regrets! Bought into the hype and I was disappointed by them. Wore too thick and chunky for my wrist and the bezel was so tight to the point that it hurts my hand after using it. I sold them

Where did you end up selling them? I’m likely going to sell the heritage BB41.
