Well usually it’s so I can tell what time it is while I’m doing those things… Scratches and wear marks can tell a story and something about the owner. And yes my wardrobe of “nice clothes” has cuts marks and grease stains too, when a job needs doing that’s the least of my worries 🤣
Be careful with any dress looking watch in LA. All cities have an inherent risk of theft but CA cities are currently a little more likely to experience watch theft, and Cartier is a well know luxury brand. That being said, the Tank XL is a perfect choice for causal and dress wear. My previous boss has a tank and it is great on casual fridays and on important meeting days. It’s a great choice!
I think the PRX chronograph is worth trying on and considering. I saw one at Saltzman’s in Cranston RI and tried it on. It was thinner and less bulky than I’d expect for a chrono in that price range. I’m considering it myself as a man of larger wrist size and smaller watch taste (vintage boys WYA?).
Congrats on your first automatic being so stylish! I think damage on watches adds to the character and makes it personal, but adding a GMT is a great idea 🤣😉. Once I see it in store it’s game over.
