Mondaine

Does anyone own or have experience of Mondaine watches? I would welcome any thoughts.

I’m gonna tag along in this convo @Munky1 as I’ve had my eye on the Stop2Go model but they seem elusive and peeps complain about them. Such a kool premise (stops for 2sec at 12 etc) and history with the Swiss railways etc. but not a lot of ‘love’ from the watchFam out there. And Mondaine seem useless (well in Australia). Crap website and barely a mention of the Stop2Go..which really is the only reason I would consider a Mondaine.

I had a Stop2Go for a while, and really liked it. I never timed it, but my sense was that it didn't keep great time. I did put a fresh battery in it before I gifted it to a friend, so hopefully that fixed it. I don't know why they are so hard to find, but the movement is quite a party trick.

I have a vintage Mondaine and it still runs like a champion. Never had an issue with it.
