Advice sought re fitness bands

I am nowhere near as young as I would like to be and have some health problems.  I want to monitor my heart and the miles I walk. I would also like to wear my watches.  Is it OK to wear a band on one wrist and a watch on the other or is this a very odd thing to do?  I note that some fitness bands suggest that you need to wear them on your non-dominant wrist. This, however, is the watch I wear my watch on. I wouldn't want a double-decker situation with both items on one wrist.

I don't particularly want to go down the Smart watch route - at least, not yet.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Whether it’s odd or not is something you get to decide. I say wear both if that’s what you want to do.

Nah, dude, it's all good!  That's why god gave us 2 wrists.  😜

Besides, nobody notices us old guys, and what we do.  Like, I could literally leave the house wearing a neon fanny pack and pink and purple striped shorts, and I'm sure nobody would give me a second thought - at some point, you hit an age where you simply become irrelevant, and your sartorial choices don't matter one whit.

Stay healthy, my man!

Thank you for that Mr Omeganut. I don't have a neon fanny pack but I do have a very nice pink and orange jump suit. It makes many people smile and it is good to feel encouraged in my new sartorial taste. One guy went so far as to say: 'In all my years, I have never seen anything like that'.  I feel like a new man. Whether I get one or not depends on my wife's views. 😎

I always struggle with this and i’ve been looking into the oura ring! It’s a great health and sleep tracker and saves you valuable wrist space :)

Since my situation requires to monitor my heart rate throughout the day I wear my Fitbit Alta HR under my sleeves.... on my dominant wrist.... and my choice of the day on the other wrist....and a request to all 'old guys' in the group...post the vintage collection...in any state it may be...

I just remembered that @JenniElle talked about this same thing in a recent video. Not that this should color your decision, but it may be helpful to know that someone with the bonafides also does that.

Also this has me thinking I should start doing the same with my Apple watch!

Thanks, guys. I think I will get a Fit Bit, which can be worn on your dominant wrist. What a fun, new, direction in life! 😂

Now it's time to plan my second and third fitness bands...bear in mind they are watches as well...😮
