Just curious if there are any surfers in the watchcrunch fam, and if so, do you take any of your luxury watches out surfing? My G-SHOCKs get scratched...
I recently bought the spb301 and had to turn in the watch for repair just a week later when it was running -45spd and getting worse. The crown is also finicky and sometimes gets stuck when I screw it in. Seiko actually replaced the entire 6R35 movement but said there was nothing wrong with the crown. Disappointing quality control to say the least.
I understand the love for the quirkiness of Japanese design language, but sometimes I feel like they’re just one small step from creating a perfect watch. Thanks for all of the comments though, and I think you’ve swayed me more into getting it 😅
Thanks for the comments! I actually did see it in person and really liked how it had a compact dial and case with the beveled numbers. The location of the power indicator bothered me a bit and was wondering what other people thought. It’s slightly different than the location of previous spring drive watches.
