Funny thing though, I’ve got a handful of cheaper watches with the NH35 in them and they all run great. Toyotas run better than Lexuses I guess.
I gave the LP a run today during lunch with the old feline shuffle in A. You may know it as Cat Scratch Fever. It ain't a Birdland, but it gets it done anyway.
Seems like they'll honor the warranty for that. I was able to get it going again by using the old automatic trick of shaking the shit out of it. I'm going to see if that holds, and if not... file a claim.
About the guitar... Thanks. I built it from a kit. There's a small operation in China ran by one guy than makes stellar kits. You order from him. No website. The old PayPal and pray. It's African mahogany so the back and neck are figured too. Stained with aniline dyes and sealed with french polished shellac. Feels great and no nitro lacquer stickiness. Lollars and aged Gotoh for the bits and bobs. She really rips. I have an SG from him as well, done up all natural with SD Antiquities and the same hardware.
I have one blue on blue rubber. Gorgeous dial with that GMT hand. Good lume. Fun look. Wears well. It’s on its way to watchexchange ONLY to cover some of the spend on my Alpinist GMT. I will regret it, I’m sure.
