I will look forward to the reviews also. Peter Kotsa's videos are always great, However I will be watching all the reviews.
Jody seems to be getting a bit of stick for boring/ generic designs. However he has a new business and has to appeal to the widest audience possible. They also have what I consider to be pretty competitive pricing. I am glad they have given us lots of colour options, and imagine more innovative designs may follow with future releases.
I was recently tempted with the San Martin Adventerine dial at the last Ali Express sale, but have several dark or black dialed watches, so went with the Marble version. After all the hype of how good San Martin finishing is I was curious to see just how good they really were. For the price, I was not disapointed. Now that I have a couple of White dialed watchs in my collection, perhaps an adventerine dial may not be that far off in the future.
I'm a fan of sport watches. I think I just like the shape/style. Generic? Yes. But i think that is what I like about them, they can be worn with anything, and for any occasion. I've pre ordered the White enamel. I was tempted with the Adventurine, but wondered if it would look like a watch with Glitter? I will probably regret my decision later. It would be nice to be able to just buy both.
Hi Faceless, Glad to see a fellow Melbournian here also. Not many of us about. Only recently rediscovered my interest in watches and trying very hard not to buy everything. Unless of course it goes on Sale :)
Sorry I missed the poll. I would have gone with Melbourne Watch Company as it's my now home town, and I personaly own a Lonsdale. It's a nice watch, and cheaper than most of Jacks offerings. Also not a huge fan of most of Jack Masons styles although I quite like the Canton day date, but at $613 is probably 30% more expensive than the Lonsdale. Not sure if the movement is any better?
Nice to hear from a fellow Melbournian. I also took a look at the Flinders, and liked it. However I thought I would rarely get the opportunity to wear a more dressier watch, and figured I would use the Lonsdale more often.
I also found the staff very helpful, and they were more than happy to answer my questions. One of the things that was mentioned is that they may be releasing new watches later this year. It will be interesting to see what they come out with
