Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I’ve been wearing watches for most of my life. Only started collecting “real” watches a couple years ago. Got hooked on G Shocks and the flood gates opened. I have 14 and counting now. I was wearing some stuff by Fossil and Diesel before, but now I know what is out there for similar prices. I am now fully addicted.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Probably something from a dollar store or Sears Outlet. I don’t really remember my early watches, but Fossil watches were the first ones I remember buying for myself
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Find the watch(es) that do it for you. Don’t let gatekeepers and snobs dictate your tastes
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Islander, Traska, Frédérique Constant, Baumé and Mercier, G Shock (always), Certina, Mido, Ball, Hamilton, Tissot, Longines, Christopher Ward, Formex, Marathon, Furlan Marri, Grand Seiko (and Seiko in general), Junghans, Nomos, Damasko, Sinn, Laco, Mühle Glashütte, Oris, Zodiac, Citizen, Orient, Unimatic, and probably many others
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921. It is AMAZING, or at least it looks like it in pictures and videos. I have yet to see one in person, much less try it on
