I’m a new watch collector with about 4 years in. I’m slowly replacing my “entry” level watches with a few more luxury pieces. I made the rookie mistake and started with volume instead of saving for a more mid tier level. I currently own Christopher Ward, Tag Heuer, Seiko divers, Hamilton, and I recently bought a Longines Spirit with the green dial.

I’ve always had a thing for watches. Several years ago I bought an Apple Watch. Soon it died and while shopping ebay for a new one I discovered that I could get a “real” watch for less money. So then the journey began…. 20 watches later and I’m still enjoying almost everyone. I did find an Apple Watch and bought it. It doesn’t get much wrist time though. My daughter wears it more than me.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I think it was a Timex Iron man
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don’t buy every “cool” watch you see. Save up for one you think you’ll not be able to afford. 10 $200 watches later you could have a Rolex, Omega, etc…. Unless of course you really want those 10 $200 watches. Then buy whatever makes you happy.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, Longines, & Tag Heuer.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
At this time it would probably be H Moser or Lange. The finishing is top notch and neither are household brands so they are incognito to the masses.
