This is my second try of this 60’s style diver my first being the Dan Henry 1970. First impression was that it’s a bulky piece that feels very solid. With the steel BOR bracelet on you definitely feel every bit of the 50mm lug to lug and it is very heavy so smaller wrists should beware.
However, if the size and weight don’t bother you this is a very nice watch. The emerald green dial is beautiful, looking nearly black in some lights, and the texture of the dial gives it a pebbly profile that’s very interesting.
The watch also has a very nice display caseback that shows off it’s very nice Seiko NH35 movement.
So looks wise this watch rates very highly the only issue as mentioned before being the size issue. The diameter is 42mm but it really does feel much bigger even when you change the bracelet to a lighter rubber strap.
Otherwise I do have any complaints about this watch. The accuracy is as good as can be expected for an affordable watch with an affordable movement so you shouldn’t expect too much.
This is a watch that is great if you can handle the size. Unfortunately it does feel too big on my 7” wrist, which is a shame as I really like it.

Thanks for this. I kinda dig the Spinnaker design language that they’re establishing for themselves. Big fan of the domed crystal, and the sand/pebble dial texture. How smooth is the crown for the internal bezel? And is it threaded?

Happy you like the review and I dig the design as well it’s just the fit I’ve had a problem with. The rotation movement for the inner bezel is very smooth without being so smooth that it’ll move on it’s own. I don’t think it is threaded but to be honest I’m not sure.

Is it a screw down crown like the main one?

No it’s not. But it also doesn’t move in and out of the case so that shouldn’t affect the water resistance rating.
What is the accuracy, if you don’t mind?

I don’t mind you asking I’m just not sure. I haven’t had to reset it but accuracy is not what I rate most highly, so I haven’t measured it more than checking it against my bluetooth solar g-shocks and ensuring that it’s not too far of the mark. Sorry can’t give you more than that.
I would wear this, i think it would wear good on me.
Do you have any other experiences with compressors and if not this one, then witch one ( affordable one)?

I’m not sure Super Compressors are for me if I’m honest. I prefer the action of a regular diving bezel, not sure why bu I find the click quite satisfying.
I have had a Dan Henry 1970, but I’d probably pick this Spinnaker over that one as it felt a bit flimsy.
I’ve currently got a Malm Air Wolf Viggen
This is not a Super Compressor as it’s a Pilot Watch but I really like it. It fits much better on me and is light enough.
This DLC coated one was a limited run of 37 but they do have non-coated steel versions in stock.
Just sold mine, I couldn't get into the brand. The watch looks good and quality-wise I never had an issue. And yes it is big, but for big wristers it is great watch.

I agree that’s why I’d recommend it. I just don’t have a big wrist.
