In the book A Man & His Watch, there’s a quote in the vignette with Hamilton Powell and his Seafarer, that goes, "Taking a moment to wind my watch means giving myself twenty seconds of the day to create a sense of purpose as to how I'm going to use my time-to ask myself, Am I going to live today with intention?"
This quote is as poignant today as it was the first time I read it. And yes, I still take time each morning to properly set my watch. For me - I have the USNO on speed dial. The familiar voice and staccato clicking that I first heard 25 years ago while pulling nuclear alerts in the Air Force lets me know I’m right on time. And intentional.
Cheers, friends.

I personally know Hamilton as a light acquaintance and he is a driven and focused individual that def would be in need of those 20 seconds to take a breath before he steps out for his day. We could all practice this though in life.
