Out of interest have you tried a 41mm model? In my experience they wear quite small - I have a 43mm VHP GMT and it really doesn't feel that big!

not yet but the lug to lug of 49mm isn't what i'm usually looking for with an every day kind of watch :) 39mm diameter with like ~47mm lug to lug would be much better for me

Fair point but worth a look if you have a local store to visit, deffo not a 'blind buy'. My 43mm looks smaller on leather as well rather than the bracelet, being quartz it maybe a bit slimmer as well I guess.
Longines has quite the history of offering a wide range of sizes throughout their model ranges. I have expected them to release new sizes from the day of the new model’s introduction. My biggest surprise is that it’s taken them so long to get around to it.
Maybe they are carrying a massive inventory of the old model that they need to get rid of first. The old model is still a bargain for a capable GADA. The new model is less a bargain for it’s specs v. price but damn it looks amazing.
