My bronze Coke GMT Seiko Mod

Can you imagine if Tudor would make its new Coke GMT in a bronze case similar to my Bronze Coke GMT Seiko Mod?

  • Bronze GMT style case with heavy forced Patina, with a rose gold crown (the spring in the original bronze crown kept getting stuck due to the patina)

  • Red to black Fumed Seiko Marinemaster dial with gold hour markers and blue lume.

  • Gold Dauphine hands with golden Marinemaster seconds hand.

  • Aluminium black/red Coke bezel insert with white numerals.

  • NH34 with custom black rotor.

  • Black/red strap with black buckle.

You can find any and all styles of dials inspired by all brands on AliExpress, from Omega to Rolex, even Panerai sandwich dials or Royal Oak waffle texture, date or no date, some even with painted fantasy complications... However, you have to be aware that they are all fakes. Seiko never made these dials and using this copyrighted logo makes them a counterfeit.

Somehow, it's more ethical to fake a Seiko logo on a copied Submariner dial than a fake Rolex logo. 🙄

Absolutely! Look on E-bay, AliExpress, etc.

Just make sure you have the correct dial/movement/hands/case combination. E.g. NH35/34/36/38, with a 28-29mm dial will generally fit a Submariner, Datejust, etc. Style case.

Yeah, I’m a sucker for bronze watches. I have built a few of them: a coke, a sprite (green/yellow), and a rootbeer, as well as a blue diver.

I mostly use PVD bronze over Stainless Steel, as a real bronze case can be quite pricey and can patina too quickly.
