For me, some basic timing stuff usually, but I've recently found another use for the bezel. I use my skin diver for swimming workouts... With goggles on its sometimes hard to see anything at all, which is why the 120 click bezel has become the perfect way to count laps. 2 laps, 2 clicks, without ever having to actually see anything!
that's awesome thank for sharing mate 😉 ! I think the colour and texture looks great! Not too casual in my opinion, but I agree that it may be a bit wide for the 36mm diameter. I had seen the same with a rubber strap I had tried (too ugly to post), in that straps without a taper looked just a bit wide and plain.
I was undecided between the two, but ultimately opted for the PRX in green. I think the Gentleman is definitely the more elegant of the two, and is also much more versatile to be dressed up or down. Hower, for me the PRX is the better sports watch (if you like the angular/geometric design), and also I didn't really like the Gentleman's bracelet with the polished centre lugs.
For me it matters a lot for the types I own.. I think that if the watch size and lug width are well balanced, then maybe it's fine even without a taper. However, if the lug width is large compared to the diameter, then it really does need to taper or the bracelet/strap end up looking out of proportion. For example the PRX integrated bracelet starts very wide, and would look ridiculous without a taper. Similarly, I tried a 20mm untapered bracelet on my Lorier Astra (36mm) and I think it just looked very odd with a wide bracelet and small watch diameter.
Amazing work, looks great! Night-and-day difference, you can't even see the sunburst effect in the before picture! I just got my first acrylic watch, do you have any tips or any advice on things to look out for when polishing??
