I'm new to the watch collection world, even though I always enjoyed these beautiful pieces of machinery. I don't know a lot about the technical details and expressions the community uses, but I'll learn with time. I'm a simple guy, cannot afford high end watches, but I feel good about the ones I have! Well, I think this times expedition looks great, but I think the outside ring could be smaller or at least more delicate.

The outer ring as you call it with the numbers & points of the compass is commonly referred to as the bezel.

Times Expeditions are outstanding watches. They look great, hold up well to lots of use and abuse, and they keep excellent time. I've got a chrono one with a green dial and orange accents on a factory suede strap and I love it. Excellent share!!
