Since when did Kawasaki makes watches?

I've been browsing around my local motorcycle gear online store when I stumbled upon this weirdly cool looking Kawasaki watch model 2 (That is supposed to be it's name I think?). Apparently there seem to be a few more different watches models from Kawasaki as well.

There are so little information about these things, and they all seem to be limited editions, to just 500 units per model. No information about the case, the crystal. The strap materials I could guess is silicone from the pictures, and the water resistance is supposedly 50m (didn't say so on this one, but does on the model 1) .

The only other information available that I managed to dig up about this watch is that it uses a Caliber No. 6P23 by MIYOTA, so it's a quartz. Does anyone else has any more information about this watch, or the entire line of Kawasaki watches? I would love to know more!

As a motorcyclist, I really like that watch! Owned a Kawi ZZ-R 250 years ago, and though was the only Kawasaki I've had in about a dozen Bikes, since I started Riding, it's still one of my faves! Should've kept it ...

Ive been thinking about buying a ninja and this would be a perfect addition.

Ive been a biker all my adult life & all the bike branded watches I've had have been shite rebrand fashion watch quality (is last all day )

Had Honda, Ducati, Ducati Monster, & multiple Triumph badged watched (not the latest high quality Breitling jobbies tho, way outta my budget)

Good Luck, be interested to know more.

Cheers mate 🏍️

99% chance it’s a really cheap watch with the brand glued on like @Kyle.unc said…the other watches I saw in the Kawasaki lineup certainly fit that description I’m afraid…as do most watches in the merchandise section of car and motorcycle manufacturers…

There are exceptions though..

Eg the watches Ball made for BMW, or the Mazda MX-5 10th Anniversary Seiko

Ricoh made an automatic watch for Porsche in the 1970s. I believe it went with a purchase of a 911. Never seen one for sale or anything other than a print add. If someone has one or a pic post it!!
