I need help my fellow Omega fanbois!

So you could find those clasp on Gen1 AT and some other models. The thing is, I've held one on an AT, and it really felt super flimsy, and my thought was "OMG this will break within a year" and felt unnecessary complicated for something that can be archived with just some folded metal that won't break like ever (like ones on old Speedy) So anyone have any extended experience with this kind of a clasp, and how did it hold up? In my mind, clasps such as pictured below don't give you any luxurious feels at all (with hollow endlinks too lol), but it's near indestructible as I prefer, and are far superior than anything new with springs and milled clasp and what have you...

I don't have long-term experience with that slider but I will say this. Modern Omega hinges are extremely long. Especially butterflies because they are poorly designed and use the length of the blade very inefficiently. That is to say, it is rather long without actually providing much extension while open, so it doesn't fit huge hands or anything.... it just sucks.

The butterfly clasp on my Constellation (two generations after this slide-out blade) is the one thing I dislike about the watch. I would pay extra to have this short, tinny slide-out mechanism because I have thin girly wrists. Long folding blades are my worst enemy. 🍻

I have this style clasp on my speedy triple calendar. I’ve had the watch less than a year but it has to be close to 25 years old now. Works fine. No more fidgety to use than any other fold over. It actually gives you some extra room to slide past your thumb.
