Rado True Square

What do you think about the Rado True Square collection? They are not really talked about but seem quite cool. It's a full high tech ceramic watch, at a very wearable size (38mm), unique design, 80h pwr reserve for around 2000 euros. Does anyone own one? They seem like cool, great value watches. Have a nice day!

I like them. I do not own one but they looked good at the AD too. The ETA movement with 80 hours is as proven as it gets by now. Not sure about readability on the skeleton, but that dark bracelet has a unique look.

Make sure to try it on. Sizes are deceptive on square cases.

I own one. I have only had it for a month. I like it very much. It keeps great time. The black ceramic looks great.

Hi, never could afford one, but the white skeleton is one of my grails. Very Cool watch with sporty square design.

The movement inside is from the C07-Family based on the ETA 2824. To be precise the C07.611.

Other than the C07.111 used in the PRX it uses full metal escapements.

The hairspring is made of Nivachrom. So it's strongly antimagnetic, but I don't know how much. But it should be simliar to the Silicon hairspring.

Inside they use a shock absorbing tecnique (I forgot the name).

To be honest for retail price of 2,350 Euros the C07-Series is little bit to "simple", even it's the better version with the 611. But what's special on this watch is not the Movement. It's a reliable work horse which don't have to worry.

What's special on the watch is the Design and the Material.

Rado invests a lot into this to sections. Sometimes the designs of some watches looks strange, but these days they get some really well designed pieces, as this one. Everything has a well balanced symetric (except the date window) but in the same time being very smooth in their lines, corners and edges. It never gets boring for the eye or out of fashion.

It fits wonderfull on most wrists, even smaller ones.

And now the material. Rado has great partner within the Swatch Group with Comadur which are highly professionalized in materials.

The ceramic feels very comfortable on the wrist, it addapts your body temperature and will never scratch.

The high tech ceramic and the special design of this watch (small lugs and monobloc case for example) makes it also hard to break (other than cheap ceramic watches).

I ordered the Plasma High Tech Ceramic as I love their high polished gun metal look.

I think it's an awesome watch and a great relatively affordable alternative to Cartier Santos. But other than Santos the Rado will never scratch.

So I think 2K is a bargain for this watch.

Get it if you hate scratches on your watch ! This baby should retain it's gloss and be scratch free for many2 years.
