WW1 watch

I just got a watch from ww1!

If anyone has any information about the watch or ww1 watches in general, that would be great! The brand is “hardy Aberdeen”

Contact Roland Murphy at RGM watches. He’s a real expert and a superb horologist.

That watch looks magnificent!

Based on very cursory googling, I suspect this is James Hardy & Co, Aberdeen, which seemed to have been a London watchmaker using Swiss movements (not sure if you found the SWISS MADE text).

Thank you for all this information!

There is a 2 stamped on the inside of the caseback.

This might not be watch related, but there’s also 9852 and bl9on hand carved on the same side
