Sinn U50 accuracy

I’ve had my U50 from new now and love it. The first 6 weeks it super accurate hardly gaining or losing any time at all. However I have noticed it is now losing -10 seconds a day? It has not been banged or dropped in anyway. It is still under warranty. What do you think the problem is and should I return it for regulation? This is my 4th Sinn and I’ve never experienced time keeping issues before.

Magnetism?

Maybe your watch has been magnetized. A watch shop can demagnetize it for a few bucks.

I was under the impression that Magnetism causes a watch to run fast!?

Can go either way actually.

What's the specs tho? -10 seconds I thot was decent-ish?

SW300 in those isn't it? 10 seconds a day is at the higher end of the spec for that movement but it's in the range of acceptability. Worth asking them to have a look but they may just tell you that it's operating within expected parameters

Definitely magnetized. You can buy a fairly cheap de-magnetizer from Amazon, which can come in handy if you travel a lot (that’s where my watches get magnetized the most)

Ok thanks everyone for the feedback. I will demagnetise it and report back.

My online sources might be iffy, but isn’t the Sinn U50 subjected to DIN 8309 standards for anti magnetism?

Yes but the DIN 8309 allows a deviation of 30 seconds per day so not much use. Truly antimagnetic watches have silicone hairsprings.

Glad to report back that after demagnetising my U50 it’s back to normal +- 1 sec per day. Thanks for all the comments, advice
