Hanhart 417 ES 39mm 1954

Hi I am considering pulling the trigger on this model. However I would appreciate any owners comments regarding accuracy, ownership, fit and finish etc

TGV is very into Hanhart. He may have a video for you.

Don’t own one sorry 🥸

Hey there, I'm trying to pick one up in 42 mm this Wednesday directly from Gütenbach. Depending when you want to pull the trigger, I'm telling you about my experiences in the first weeks of ownership.

Yes I’ve seen all his videos inc the gorgeous reverse panda version

Hello, I have the 39mm version and I really like it.

Build quality is great, bezel tightness is just perfect and I really like the design and history of the watch. I am not a big fan of the suede backing on the black bund strap that came with it but that is a personal preference. IMHO the watch looks better on a brown strap 😀

I put it on the timegrapher and the Sellita movement looks very healthy. A bit fast at +17 secs but straight lines, 0 beat error and a healthy amplitude.

Thank you for the feedback. +17 is very poor. I was under the impression that Hanhart regulate this movement to COSC accuracy, even though is not officially COSC certified. Have you had the watch from new?

I am the second owner. The wife of the previous owner got furious when she discovered how much he gave for the watch so he had to sell it 😬

I checked if it was magnetized and it actually was! Demagnetized it and now it looks much better:

Just ordered this version. I will have to wait for it until my birthday though ☹️. I’m pretty sure there is still an all black 39mm flyback to be released but I don’t have any kind of panda dial so this was the one for me.

And I think TGV needs to look at a photo of an actual panda! 🐼

Hey Lewis, today I got my 417 ES 42mm reverse panda. I really had a great time in Gütenbach with the small but delightful Hanhart team. I got to see the manufacturing as well as the museum in the headquarter with the rich history of Hanhart, always walking on the edge between economic ups and downs. Through risk taking and back in the days huge in-house manufacturing capacities and capabilities, they've always manage to find their niche in the market.

Image

I got to see and try many watches of the Pioneer Collection and the Reverse Panda got the most of my attraction.

I'm keeping you up to date with the first few weeks of wearing and making memories with my new timepiece.

Cheers!

I asked the hanhart team and all their watches get regulated over 6 positions to +0 to +6 seconds per day. If the watch does not meet this window, you can contact them to fix it. Therefore within COSC tolerance but without the certificate.

Brilliant many thanks for sharing your experience

I have the reverse panda flyback version in 39 mm. The watch is amazing. I have for 3 months now and I only changed the time once when I got it, it's stupid accurate. Build quality is great, hanhart service is great (I also bought their steel bracelet for it). The movement is fantastic the Selitta ATM5100m offers exceptional feedback when you operate it. The finish is great for a military/aviation watch.

Mine’s now in the house, but birthday still over 2 weeks away 😕. Do you like the bracelet, looks great quality and significantly changes the look?

Love it, one thing though. The link pins are screwed so you may need a watchmaker for adjusting.
