Thoughts on Sternglas Naos quartz?

Hey guys, seeing the black friday deals, I've gotten my eye into a sternglas Naos to have a slick light slim piece for everyday endeavors. Does anyone has them? How do they look in person?

Is it worth or is just a poor man's Junghans?

I would like also to know for the same reason.

Looks nice. If the movement is better or just as good as lower price point with similar specs I say go for it.

Really love the look, it really is a beautiful piece. The movement is the only thing that puts me off. My god she's a looker thou 😘

I’m quite well placed to answer this. I have a Sternglas Naos Automatik, and a Sternglas Hamburg Quartz (Neuwerk edition):

The Naos Automatik was my first automatic watch - in fact it was the one which got me into watches. I was vaguely aware of the Nomos Tangente at the time, but being new to watches thought that anything over £500 was absurd for a watch. So I got the Naos Automatik. What to say about it? Well it doesn’t get much wear now, given that I now have a Nomos! I remember being slightly disappointed by 2 things on first receipt: (1) the case was taller than I had thought it would be; and (2) the accuracy at around +20spd wasn’t what I expected. However, I have since owned quite a few automatic watches, and now appreciate that this is fair enough for a watch that cost around £300. I think the finishing is reasonable for the price. It feels to me like the sort of watch that isn’t likely to satisfy you if you get more into the hobby. I will likely wear it occasionally, and then possibly hand on to my son when he is old enough as a first automatic watch.

The Hamburg quartz was cheaper, and I think a great buy. It often gets comments on here when I post it, and looks good on a mustard yellow strap. The colours on the dial look great. However I have noticed that the second hand doesn’t accurately hit the second markers - it falls almost (but not quite) in between - which I find a bit annoying. Yet for £180, I’m not that bothered. The case is pretty thin, and it is a watch I enjoy wearing on the weekend, or when I don’t want to wear anything too expensive. It has minimal water resistance, though. Note: the version I have isn't available at the moment; they have one that looks like it, but is an automatic (mine also didn't come with the yellow nato).

Thanks for your feedback. The Naos Quartz does not have a second hand, so problem solved.

That's one way to deal with the issue!

As I say, I’m not too bothered. For me it is more of a “Saturday morning with the rabbits watch”!:

I had one. Now my brother in law has it. IDs a nice watch. Great way to see if the Bauhaus stuff is for you. Obviously weees larger because it’s all dial. I’d recommend them as they were seemingly well made. I think getting them in quartz is the best option.

I own the the Naos automatic in black and it is a stunner. For that price you can go wrong with that. I posted a review about it a while ago. I‘m currently wearing my Sedius in gold. Also great!
