Just got the call for the Explorer 1
My AD called me yesterday, saying they have an Explorer with my name on it.
I’ve only over seen/handled the previous reference. I know about the differences on paper - updated movement, 19mm lug and smaller tapering bracelet - but wondering if anyone has had any hands on time with both, and how the new one compared / felt?

I tried the latest explorer on at my AD it's a great looking watch (SS) nice clear dial only thing for me was it was slightly too small for me

How big is your wrist?
I have the current Explorer 1 and love it. it's my most worn watch. just like others say it could be my only watch. I had the previous explorer with the 20 mm lug width and have to say that they are a little different but a lot alike. I wear my explorer on the bracelet so don't have an issue with straps and nato's. hopes this helps. cheers. Scott

I have a 7in wrist,this was just my opinion don't let it sway you ,it really is a great watch
How long did you wait before you got the call?? Asking for a friend :o
The new one feels more feminine for some reason which shouldn't be taken as a positive or negative. I would definitely try it before committing.
I have the current Explorer and love it. The older ones are nice too but as for the specs incl. water resistance I prefer the new one. Besides I hear that prices to service older models through Rolex are steadily increasing. Either way you cannot go wrong.
