Omega has some really amazing watches behind them. But unfortunately that is the thing. Behind them.
I have owned and own some Omega’s and Rolex’s. But with current prices and comfort Rolex is the better bang for the buck.
Why Omega cannot get a proper bracelet solution is beyond me.
And now when there are even waiting lists for Omegas as well….. not sure what to say(?).
Technically they are really good but so is Rolex. And with s lot of the research that Rolex put into not only the actual watch but the equipment and the material sourcing. I find it to be the better brand. Sorry Omega but until 2015 you were really great. Massive low point has to be the colour AT’s
Go for it. No regrets! Have had mine for a year and it is the perfect grab n go. Can understand the theory behind homage. But in the end it won’t scratch the itch and you’ll either want the real thing or think that the real thing was really bad when in the end it was the homage that was bad. 🤷🏻♂️
As long as the activities are not a part of a green washing scheme I don't mind. I agree with some of its exaggerated marketing in the past. But if they support and sponsor activists or work to promote awareness I do not see any problem.
Lot's has been said about what a GADA is both here and in other forums and I guess from which angle you are coming from but from my point of view the best GADA is the Rolex Explorer.
Not only does it keep a 100m WR but it is one of the more reliable watches around. It is simple and does the job. It works perfectly with a pair of swim trunks on the beach, with jeans and t-shirt at home or with a suit.
It stays neutrual no matter what. No complication, only a simple three hander yet the 3-6-9 makes it fun enough.
OK so why not an OP or an OP with the 3-6-9 dial? While that is a great watch in my view it has one flaw; the size of the crown. While the crown on the OP stands out it is small enough not to get noticed on the Rolex.
