Rado Captain Cook Green

Has anyone owned a Green Captain Cook? If so, whats your opinion on it? Would you recommend it? I'm debating over this and the Hydroconquest.

Ok. I don’t own Captain Cook green, but I was looking at one previously. The green colour is different from say the Steinhart Hulk or Rolex hulk. It’s not the shade of green that I like. My preference is Longines  Hydroconquest. But, this is very personal.

Let me get home from work before I can fully answer this.

I have tried on the green one and yes, the AD lights were very flashy, but the watch for me is just a bit "too much" I'll attach a photo... what do you think?

I think they are both winners at their price points. The Rado has a slimmer case and feels much smaller and lighter than it’s specs suggest.  The bracelet is comfortable but lacks any adjustment beyond removing a link.

The LHC feels like a substantial watch but it has a nice downturn on the lugs that help it wrap the wrist and make it quite comfortable.  The bracelet doesn’t have any taper which makes it feel more substantial but also helps keep it place on the wrist.

I‘ve tried to get some pics to show how close they are but also how the case profile aids in giving them such different feel on the wrist.

I like the looks of the Longines dial better because I like numbers on the dial.  If that is a ceramic dial on the Capt. Cook that may be a game changer.

I also would take the HydroConquest over Rado. Very personal based on taste, but the HC wears well with a little less “flash” as @yankthemike pointed out.

I believe the LHC also has a ceramic dial

Rado, but only because the pipe-wrench crown guards on the Longines are a hard stop for me. Put the crown guards from the VHP on the HC  and I would already own one.
