Sometimes, you (eventually) have to scratch that itch.
There have been many iterations of the Willard in the slightly more compact 42.7mm or so case size since it's release... What? 2+ years ago? But, from the beginning, I always had my eye and interest on the green version. Enter the SBDC111 into my collection, finally 👏👏👏.
For me, I really like Seiko's choice for the olive green tones in the radiant dial and aluminum bezel insert. Also, it seems an appropriate color option being it was one of many non-military issue watches favored by the U.S. military forces during the Vietnam War era purchased through the Post Exchange (or PX)... Along with quite a number of other "R&R" watches.
Oh, man, have I got some great ideas to play with strap options on this one!
