Blue & Grey with the Longines Legend Diver 39

I think blues and greys work well together. Thus, my Longines Legend Diver 39 in blue with a Haveston Hull Grey NATO-style Parade Strap looks quite pleasing to my eyes. The LLD39 has been described as more of a "dress diver" rather than a tool diver. Something about the fine case finishing and way the dial blends to the internal timing bezel lends itself to that interpretation. As such, the smooth satin texture of Haveston's Parade Series straps gives its NATO-style a more dressed up appearance, if you can dress up such a strap. And, it works well with this watch. I could do other NATO-style and other pass-through straps. But, my inclination would be to grab and go with something like this which feels more refined as much as the watch is.

Looks great - the LLD 39 is such a step up from the 42. Cool watch and Haveston straps are great.

That said, I think I'm going to pick up one of the older Heritage Skin Divers, I've always liked them and they're around for a pretty good price atm - and I've got just the Haveston strap for it.

Look forward to seeing when u get that watch and strap combo you're talking about.

I think the 39mm is pretty perfect for my 7" wrist.

Forget the 36mm, I think a bit too dainty for this style of dive watch.

The original 42mm is still nice. Although lugs being kind of long, it maybe has a nicer defining form to them where as they maybe smoothed out and made the lugs on the 39mm a little more subtle. If you can do the 42mm, still a great option that is closer to the vintage model... Although, I think they'd do well to bring back the no date version and update with a more fitted bracelet option, too.

If I ever see a no date 42 at a decent price I'll jump on it for sure - I've got a very flat 20cm / 7.75in wrist so the long lugs work on my wrist.

I really like the 39mm LLD though, it's the best version of the watch so far. They've refined it beautifully.

The Heritage Skin Diver has pretty much the exact same specs as the LLD 42 but seems to wear a little smaller, probably due to the external bezel. I might pick up one of the BoR bracelets that StrapCode do for the LLD too - it'll fit.

I'll try to remember to tag you when I get it, just waiting for the right one.
