So I just sold my 1st watch...

I knew this day would come.

I have now gotten to the point in my watch collecting venture where I'm having to make the dreaded decision; Do I continue to buy watches that I enjoy, yet are restricted within my price range, or do I consolidate and save up for my definitive grail-type watches? I have chosen to hold off and save up(for now).

Today I sold my Seiko SRPD, a watch I bought when I decided to get serious about my "collection". There is absolutely mixed feelings. I sold it at a loss to a friend, but it's more the sentimental loss that I am dealing with. I know this is a part of many other people's processes so I take solace that I'm in good company.

Longines Spirit incoming... eventually.

Applaud your restraint in saving up for a grail. I don’t have that kind of willpower.

It's early. My statements easier said than done, we'll see lol.

It’s amazing how easy it is to let them go after you sell the first one. You’ll realize you only wear one (maybe two) a day and the others sit collecting dust. You liked it, tried it, now time to move on. At least that’s how I’ve done it.

Congrats, you won't regret it. Also good move selling cheap to a friend . Good luck with the Spirit, excellent choice 👍
