How do you all like your "Full Lume" dials?
I just bought this Ratio "Skysurfer" Pilot watch($140). And the full lume dial was absolutely a big selling point. I am yet to receive it but I'm excited to check it out. I never owned a full lume dial watch before and I am curious how The WC Squad feels about them.
I have been looking at Ratio watches for awhile now, usually their dive watches. They offer solid specs for reasonable prices and many of their designs have their own original look to them. That includes this pilot style watch. I really like the segmented minute track, I don't remember seeing any other fliegers with this design.
I also love the seconds hand that has their logo as a counterbalance. Even the font seems uniquely different than normal. This might be something I'm adding as a design choice that may be just a coincidence, but I like how the negative space between the minute track matches the Roman numeral(II) that is the Ratio company logo. Again, might just be me.
Another thing I like here is the fact that it has a name. The Skysurfer. It's so annoying when a watch has a reference serial number as a descriptor. The caseback even shows a Skysurfer on it ✅️.
I've been wanting a "wall clock" looking dial and this checks that box IMO.
With the limited amount of resources I can allocate to watch collecting I have to be very specific and purposeful when pulling the trigger on a watch. This Ratio @$140 checks so many boxes that it was an easy move. We'll see if it feels right on-wrist. I'll definitely post again when I receive it.

Love them and have no issues with them.
I have 1 full lume dial. It is an Islander Type B flieger and the lume is incredible. I am a fan of full lume dials. I will definitely add more at some point.
I've had a few over the years and currently have 1. They're awesome when first blasted with a strong light source but after a couple hours they get harder to read. Afteer 6 hours they look like a fuzzy circle of faint light.
Ratio watches certainly look like good value for money! Creation watches out of Singapore always seem to have them front and centre, so I assumed they were their in house brand. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts when it arrives. In the meantime here's my Islander X Hemel Hawkeye full lume.

That Ratio is super cool, thanks for introducing me to that. I was really close to gettting a Laco Valencia for the lume dial. There’s a cool Promaster Diver I’m always almost going to buy and I have my eye on a IWC Black Aces down the road
