Show off your Sealander Strap choices?

I'm new to this analog timepiece thing, well back to it of course. I'm fascinated by the "perfect two watch collection" idea and in that light I started with a Christopher Ward Sealander 63. 36mm, black dial variant for a GADA watch for my 6.25" wrist.

They neglected to size it per my instruction so I'll have that done locally tomorrow.

I'd love to see what other straps folks have run their Sealanders on to make it flexible, leather, rubber, sailcloth.

Thanks in advance.

With the watch’s Explorer DNA I’ll wager the world is your oyster when it comes to strap choices.

Here’s mine on a Delugs Chestnut Buttero slim strap.

Since your watch is black, you can wear it with pretty much anything and it will look good.

You said you are looking for the perfect two watch collection. Makes absolute sense given your philosophy on music gear. So since you have your GADA watch, what would be the second category you are looking to fulfill? I would love to hear your thoughts on how you came up with a two watch collection. Most, with exceptions of course, will have three minimum. A dress, sports, and beater. Or a diver, chrono, and field watch. Cheers

I feel like the Sealander covers sport GADA but also with the right strap, as dressy as I ever get (Grammy's included, ;).

So I think the second watch would be a sportier, day to day watch, also something less expensive that'd be good for traveling? Along that line I am looking at Seiko solar Speed timers and dive watches. Both on the smaller case sizes for my 150lb, 5'10" skinny musician wrist.

Then CW dropped their carbon fiber case C63 Colhester announcement. More expensive, bigger, and lighter than all the above. Sigh.

Microbrands are coming to mind. Lorier has a lineup of more vintage inspired designs and their entire collection is geared towards the smaller wristed individual. Maen is another brand that is worth looking into. Again more vintage in style and reasonable case sizes. Obviously, there are a multitude of watches out there and picking out the right one can be more daunting than choosing which tele pickup sounds best with a rosewood board. Boy I'm glad I'm done with that nonsense. Happy hunting!

Can you tell me how you feel about the clasp on the bader bracelet? I’m looking at getting this exact timepiece but in videos the clasp looks rather chunky. No so much the length of it, but how high it stands off the wrist. Just want to know if it effects wearability.

I ended up returning that Sealsnder partly because the clasp almost filled the underside of my 6.25” wrist. Honestly, I don’t feel like I have enough experience w steel bracelet tool watches to be much help. I may end up ordering a Trident 300 for my everyday to try again. Oh and I really liked the micro adjust on the CW.

Thanks for the insight, I’ve gone an ordered one and if it needs to be returned then so be it. I am a 6.75 inch wrist so im hoping that makes an impact.
