Dan Henry 1937... new watch day

a) A 1930's Speedie? b) A dressy-ish quartz daily chrono? c) A training wheels for a bit thicker watch for me? d) All of the above.

On a special ordered short rally strap from Dan Henry I'm getting used to a wee bit thicker watch compared to my daily Vaer C3 36mm quartz. At 46.1 ltl it's also teaching me about how large a watch I might get into. When I look down and think, "it's a little big" another part of my brain says, "well it is a chronograph after all".

I'm still processing whether the polished hands are a) cool or b) hard to see at times. I'll report back tomorrow with the other strap as well. What do you think?

z) a very classy, superb value watch

I have the silver dial, gilt hands model and find it a weird one ergonomically. It has very long lugs which don't curve down much and a caseback which sits proud of the case. Meaning it wears a lot bigger on my wrist than the 37mm diameter would suggest.

Congratulations on the new watch! It looks like it fits your wrist quite well. Nice Mira in the background. I've always loved those 👍

This is really interesting as I'm finding it to be pretty big feeling as well. It fits...but "just" if you know what I mean.

I'm six hours into wearing it. I'll report back. Thanks for this.
