Difference between 2 hydroconquest models

Hi!

Does anyone know which of the hydroconquest models is newer and what the differences are? The one with dots and numbers (grey on the picture) or the one with dots accompanied with ‘-‘ (black one).

I can find both everywhere including the official website, but no information on differences.

Thank you

Left is newer, but I'm not sure about the differences aside from visual. I'd have to check the movement of the old one.

Brief look up seems to say the movements are the same. New one has a ceramic bezel and lumed second hand, probably better lume overall. Old one had an aluminum bezel, I think. It's largely down to preference. I really like the new HQ, but it's a lot of polish for me.

Ah, I see, thanks😊! That explains why the newer one is 41 and 43 mm only

The ceramic comes in 39mm as well

Ceramic bezel and updated movement on the grey one. The one on the right side has been discontinued since 2021

First one is the newer model. You can tell from the Omega Seamaster borrowed bezel insert.

I own the right one but in blue. Apart from the dial and bezel the diff can be in the movement too. Previous gen used L888 movement only in later production just before newer one came out. Older ones have 633 movement that is based on 2824 and L888 is based on 2892-A2 movement.

Left one is newer. You can tell that from just the crown. Cleaner dial too!
