What is your coronation watch?
For me it’s easy - I’ve been wearing this little blue Patek Golden Ellipse inside Buckingham palace. So it’s the perfect thing.
The dial is royal blue and solid gold. Just right for the occasion!

I just realized that I am sitting in a city named after Charles II, wearing a watch meant to be sold in the Raj, and that I will be steadfastly avoiding all coverage of the semi-regular occurrence of a German prince from a middling family interfering in a functioning democracy. (Unlike the rest of the Anglosphere, Americans who do not have an unhealthy relationship with celebrity culture are stoutly anti-Monarchist. It is one of our redeeming qualities.)
