Where is your watch wrist?

I wore a Casio when I was a kid. Then I stopped wearing watches until I bought my first mechanical watch this last June. I have bought 6 other watches since. I am hooked, but I am new to watches. I don't want to make any claim about what is or isn't correct. I am just curious because I see people wearing watches where I would never wear one, and we're all wearing them on our wrists, I suppose. See picture below for where my wrist is for me. But I see a lot more people wearing their watches above the styloid process of the radius, basically above the boniest part of it. I just can't. I do wear my watch right on the joint between the radius and the carpal bones. No, it's not uncomfortable at all for me. That's where it feels natural for me. No, the crown does not hurt my hand, ever. I tried wearing it the way I see some people doing it and I just can't. Where do you wear your watch and why? Where is your wrist? Just curious.

Usually a lil bit higher than yours. And can easily slide an index finger under, without being able to easily move it side to side. If rocking steel, it fits a teeny bit looser.

Doing any number of activities for work or training, wearing that close to my hand at your comfort level of strap tightness would guarantee crown bite. Some watches I own, it would just leave an imprint or be uncomfortable. Others, with sharper crowns or grown guards, I'd feel it.

And with some of my bigger issues digital watches, no pain but doubt I could get full rotation of my hand easily.

YMMV. Petsonally I think you should wear your watch at whatever position you find comfortable. Even if it's on the inside, even though I'd argue the inside position isn't all it's cracked up to be outside of very niche uses, or temporary, positional uses.

Thank you for your take. I do find it interesting that people wear watches differently.

Whatever floats your boat. I wear mine above the joint.

Looking at my watch tan mark, seems my watch is normally directly over it. 👌
