Corniche: Heritage Chronograph

Corniche is a watch brand based in Stockholm, Sweden, and its fairly obvious that Scandinavian influence is in their designs.

Have been looking at this brand & their Mecaquartz timepieces, and was curious; does anyone have this in their collection? What are your reviews & comments about the watch/brand?

Let me preface this by saying that I do not have one of these watches and have not been able to handle one. I do remember this watch from a review Jody did on JOMW. I was interested because of the mecha-quartz movement, but after watching the review, I was not blown away with the appearance and I thought it was a bit thick for a watch with a quartz movement. Also, there is a lot of polish and not much brushing on the case. However, it does appear to be a solid watch, and the mecha-quartz movement is a great option for a chronograph. In the end, I decided against it. I could see the higher price if it had a solar mecha-quartz movement, but $425 is a bit high even with sapphire crystal, at least for me, given my other concerns with its appearance. But what do I know? I am one of the people who is willing to pay over $300 for a watch with a Miyota 8215 movement; my Brillier Airborne. 😂
