My Studio Underd0g/Proxima Story
Maybe some of you know about some of this already but for those that don't - here you go - enjoy! I bought this Proxima watermelon by mistake on eBay not really even looking at it because I thought I knew what it was. After purchasing realized it and was not super happy discovering that it wasn't what I thought it was. I was surprised that a Microbrand that is a realistically inexpensive watch was imitated. After doing some research I learned the owner of Studio Underd0g was surprised as well. He said he wasn't really upset about it because it shows the uniqueness and desirability of the design. Then he did a YouTube about how he is imitating the Proxima avocado to turn the tables. 😄 After much information gathering I am very ok with owning this Proxima watch. (1st) - the Studio Underd0g was sold out. (2nd) -this has the look for sure and the specifications are very similar. (3rd) - I did save some money (and finally 4th) - The story behind these watches and companies are very interesting and without getting the one from Proxima I probably wouldn't have even known about it. I found everything about this experience very fascinating and fun. I hope some of you do as well. 🍻

At least Proxima makes nice watches, so you didn’t end up with a piece of junk. Enjoy it!

Hey Jon, I do like the overall design and that it's the original with the Studio Underd0g. The Proxima has some things going for it as well though. It's a third the price, it's not sold out, and the dimensions are actually a bit better for me. Other than that everything else is pretty close if not the same. Pretty much at the point I was trying to buy it I either would have had to buy the Proxima or just go without a watermelon watch. Knowing the owner of Studio Underd0g is taking it the way he is really makes me more comfortable with the situation. If I could go back in time I would buy the Studio Underd0g but I haven't figured out how to do this yet. 🍻
