Been an admirer of watches for as long as I can remember. I Love how they look and feel on my wrist, I enjoy rotating them - depending on my mood or activities - and I certainly like to discuss all things Horology with other watch enthusiasts.
I enjoy an affordable 22 watch collection - although very difficult to discern, I would say my prized piece is my Alsta Nautoscaph, which was popularized on the wrist of oceanographer Matt Hooper in the 1975 blockbuster hit ' Jaws.'
It's very nice to meet you. With Kind regards
Jason
I had left my parents home for many years , and was supporting myself on a middle class salary, and realized that there was an infinite amount of affordable watches that could be enjoyed inexpensively. With online watch shops poping up everywhere and some local brick and mortars spots, I began my collection.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I can't remember definitively, but I reckon if memory served it was a Swatch in my youth.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like and can afford. Enjoy the hobby in modesty - and perhaps don't treat watches as investments.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Affordable ones. Invicta, Seiko, Citizen, Timex
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Earlier in my journey I certainly had some - think Lange or Journe - but no longer. I've found pining for unattainable watches frustrating, and so my collection grows on the whims of my personality and the ebbs and flows of life.
