Didn’t look at the video (basing of the photo), but I can tell you I love my GMT.

Edit: just watched the video. You mentioned they’re far from their roots, like people, changes is a part of life. But the watches are still built to be robust, and can be used as tool watches. If people decide not to beat up their Rolex, that’s their choice. Because someone decides to wrap it in bubble (that’s their own choice), it doesn’t mean it sucks to own.

Just my two cents. But that’s what great about this hobby, we all have differing opinions.

Think you'd probably agree on some points, I based that section on Rolex as a whole. Gorgeous watch 👍

Totally agree on the lunar pilot …I had 3 at one stage and was convincing myself that I could wear them …..wrong….beautiful watch but too feckin big ..all sold now ,new one is nice but same issue. I’ve 6 Prx tho (2 modded)and fit me beautifully ..

You have me intrigued, what have you modded on the PRX?

Nothing earth shattering I’m afraid….swapped movement/dial out of the 40mm gold with the mint green model. I also use a Aqnaut adapter to use on any 22mm strap …I really should get out more🤦‍♂️the Tissot rubber straps are great ,the aftermarket (eBay green one)are a wee bit shite.

I don’t like the modern line of Rolex mainly due to the ceramic bezels which if cracked are expensive as hell to replace. I can see where somebody would baby them. I don’t baby my watches. I wore my gmt on a M1 A1 tank in the army for years. It was worn looking and the aluminum bezel had faded from a red/blue to a silvery pink/purple. I sent it off for a service a couple years ago and had the insert replaced. It came back looking 90% new as I didn’t want any heavy polishing or grinding done. I’m fairly confident that some of the blows it took would have cracked a ceramic bezel insert.

The after pic.
