Americana or Espresso?
While I wait for my VNTR GMT, (and who knows how long I will wait) I'm considering picking up one of these Strat-o-Timer GMTs. The 9075 Miyota is what I've been waiting for. And they've managed to give it a glidelock type system, which even Rolex hasn't managed to do with their GMT line.
The strange thing is that I have no interest in the Rolex Pepsi, and an all stainless Root Beer is what I wish they made, but in this case I'm torn between the two.
What I like about the Strat-o-Timer's "Espresso" GMT option is that it doesn't make me think of a Rolex when I see one. But I'm also drawn to the Pepsi! (No, I'm not getting both, LOL).
Which do you like better?

I agree with you on why you like the espresso, I was thinking about getting the Dr. Pepper or the Root Beer Bulova Devil Diver. I’d probably pick the Strat-o-Timer for it’s no tool adjustment bracelet.

Oh wow! I knew about that watch but didn’t realize it also has the Miyota 9075! I LOVE the look. I wonder how that gold plating will hold up though. Guessing not very well. If it was stainless steel with a root beer bezel I might not be able to resist. I like the black and white version, too. So we’ll done. Just a little thicker than the JM and I assume no on the fly microadjust. But it’s also a brand with heritage. You gave me more to think about!
Btw I think Macy’s had/has a sale on the Bulova watches., but still costs more than the JM.

You're right! Actually you get 25% off. Makes the price basically equal to the JM.
