1992 meets 80s Commando
This watch caught my eye and I’m so glad I impulsive bought it. It’s my favorite G-Shock model, the DW-5900. This model was introduced on my birthyear of 1992. This particular version is a special edition. A collaboration between G-Shock and hypewear brand N. Hoolywood. This watch immediately reminds me of the 1980s Uber Commando movie stars. Arnold, Dalph, Stallone, ECT…. This starts with the face of the watch and exterior. All black and the white text on the dial. The Type II text and Bullbars sell this look. This goes even deeper with a black buckle and caseback with print like a Vietnam era Hamilton field watch. It also has a tactical red EL backlight. To round everything out, the watch comes in an exclusive, simple cardboard package with all the specs of the watch. Similar to a pice of military hardware. This watch has so much character it’s painful. I love this watch so much!
