Soft iron core/cage and magnetization

Earlier I discovered that one of my watches was magnetized. I demagnetized it and then decided to check my other watches using Lepsi. One of my watches that has a soft iron core/cage for magnetic resistance indicated that it was magnetized on Lepsi. I spent quite a bit of time trying to demagnetize the watch with my $10 blue demagnetizer, but Lepsi still indicates that it’s magnetized. For those that know more about metals/magnetism, will Lepsi still indicate that a watch with a soft iron core/cage is “magnetized” even if it’s not? If anyone can shed some light on this I’d appreciate it.

For what it’s worth, the watch also affects a compass. However, it still runs just like normal—well within COSC. Just trying to figure out what’s going on here, as it seems like this thing just can’t be demagnetized.

A spinning iron core is what creates the earth’s magnetic field. Obviously, your watch is nowhere the same size, but could create a localized magnetic field strong enough to interfere with a compass.

or you mom, she so fat she has her own gravity XDDDDD

sorry, had to do it

If it's running well within COSC then be grateful & don't worry about it 😉👍🏻

It’s not so much that I’m worried about the watch itself since it’s running perfectly. I mostly want to understand what’s going on so I can know if I can store this watch next to my other watches etc.
