I actually made it 5 day into 2024 before a watch purchase
I've interested in Longines Conquest for a while but it took a back seat to getting a new Speedy and my impromptu Black Bay purchase. I told myself no more watches for the rest of 2023.
Fast forward to the 5th day of the new year. I just scrolling through Chrono24 out of boredom I see this beauty

Nope. I fact, now that I've have this, I think the protruding crown and guards are more a perception because it's wider and angular.
