NWA: Lorca Model No. 1 GMT
After an eight-month preorder wait, I received the silver version of the Lorca Model No. 1 GMT watch yesterday. It’s only been less than a day, but so far I’m glad I took the chance to buy this sight unseen.
The 36mm size works perfectly for my smaller wrist, but more importantly, I’m very impressed by the elegance and thoughtful design. This is definitely a piece that wears well and is even more impressive in the metal than it is in photos. The bracelet is especially well-designed and extremely comfortable, especially at this price point ($1,750 USD).
The second photo shows the Lorca with my 36mm Omega Aqua Terra (2504.50) as a point of reference.

Looks deceivingly larger than 36. Not giant by any means but 38-39. I suppose it's the bezel. Great looking watch other wise. Not sure how I feel about the end links but I think they could grow on me after time.

The watch does wear slightly bigger than advertised, but my 6” wrist is also a factor!
I’ve read that the design of the bracelet and end links is reminiscent of the IWC Mark XII pilot’s watch.

This one is a stunner. Truly unique look as well from a budding brand. I missed my chance to get in on the first batch, but pulled the trigger recently for a Spring 2024 delivery. By the looks of yours, I think my 6” wrist will be very happy.

Me, too! It's a great watch. In a way, this particular version is a nice alternative to the 36mm Rolex Explorer as well.
