My Experience with The Watchgang Wheel

I took at look at “the wheel” from watchgang and registered on the site. Ultimately I decided against it, and soon after I received an email with a promotional offer code which would give me 15% off.

I decided that with the offer code it was now worth it. Built my wheel, hit purchase spin, put in my code and… it didn’t work.

Frustrating since it took time to build the wheel. But ok, mistakes happen. Emailed support, they wrote me back and asked for a screenshot even though I mentioned the offer code in my email to support.

This really put me off. It felt like not only were they questioning my integrity, but also, why didn’t they have access to all the marketing emails they have sent me?

It all just left a bad taste in my mouth and I decided this was not a company I wanted to do business with. I’m wondering, have others have had similar experiences, or not?

If you search here you will find several discussion about watchgang.

So don't be frustrated. Be Happy you didn't spend any money. It's basicly a ripp off.

The watches they offer are chinese ali express 5 dollar watches which they clane as "luxury".

I've used the wheel spin plenty of times and never encountered any issues, nor have I had any issues with delivery of the watches. You can pick up some good watches if you are patient and wait for the right event. 4th of July is a good one that's coming up soon. 9 times out of 10 you will land a Level 1 watch, so unless you find something on that level you are REALLY happy with, then give it a pass. I've picked up watches up to Level 4, but higher than that is pretty slim chances.

It also pays to shop around as you often find watches cheaper at Ashford and Jomashop, so don't be sucked into thinking The Wheel is the best price in town.
