I do the design in Inkscape, then print it on water slide decal paper. After sealing the decals, I cut them out by hand and apply them to a lumed dial blank (I use a layer of glow in the dark vinyl to add the lume to the blank), then I seal again and once it’s dry it’s ready to go onto a movement.
Funnily enough, the AirKing before the current one was realized in semi-collaboration with the Bloodhound SSC land speed record car. Not exactly a racecar or a “car” at all really but it is vehicle with wheels that goes fast on the ground.
