A classic story…my old man. My father always wore watches. Typically a Seiko or when I was younger a TAG, but it was always such a useful tool that he couldn’t see himself without. When I made my first communion my dad gave me my first watch. I treasured it. I felt just like him. I too, use my watches as tools. I think of him often when I put my watch on every morning.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I’m sure I had timex’ and fossils when young but my father gave me a Victorinox when I was 11. I thought it was the coolest. The Swiss army watch?!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time. Do your research. Buy the seller, not the watch.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, Zenith, Baume & Mercier, Omega and TAG Heuer. The value for money lives strong in these brands.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Vacheron Constantine Overseas Dual Time. Just an awesome piece from one of the holy trinity. I love gmt and dual times so this is a natural progression.
