Good morning all. Just have to love how dry & dusty it is in the desert southwest!

Thanks Sir. Those were a total slog to get to. Unfortunately my photography skills do a poor job of depicting the view.

That looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! We had rain and tiny bit of snow yesterday. When anything falls from the sky out here other than ash, the whole state goes outside to celebrate. Saw neighbors yesterday I haven’t seen in months! Of course none of us can drive worth a crap in it either so there’s that. 😂🤣😂

Weather related stuff: Here’s approaching a mountaintop at about 10,000’. This range creates its own weather at the top so the 50lb heads at Tech set up a lightning research center on top where they “catch” the lightning using rockets. Over that edge of the road it’s about 2000’ to the bottom.

Crazy! Doggo is enjoying the ride and view as well! Looks like a good drive! Thanks!

Can I ask what your dog has round it's neck? Is it a tracking device or something? 🤔

Yes it’s a Garmin TT gps tracking collar. It’ll transmit his location to a GPS device up to about 15 miles, terrain depending. It will even estimate if he’s laying down or has something treed. (I don’t hunt but it’s in Huey’s nature to chase stuff up trees. Bears, lions, raccoons and stuff. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 no skunks…..yet.) It also allows me to recall them when out of voice or whistle contact or when Huey’s locked onto a scent with a tone or vibrate mode. Both dogs are trained to return immediately when they hear the tone. Have one for each dog. Here’s a better view. The part under his chin houses the battery, brains and transmitter/antenna (the long antenna). The little puck on the back of his neck is the GPS receiver antenna.

Huey, how do you like the Ranger in person? I've been looking at them, and sometimes I think it's kind of plain, and others I like it. What is your experience?

Thanks for the reply. Sounds very interesting where you are, the most my dog chases up trees is squirrels, definitely no bears!

Still quite a bit of wilderness here in the west. 😂
