You have to look between the lugs. That was a joke, but the fairly wide lug width is a pretty solid tipoff that it's not a dainty women's watch as they tend to be below 15mm there. It's nice to see a properly fitting watch!

B&M used to make fairly small men’s watches back in the day — like 35mm. You might want to see what movement is in there as that will likely be the biggest tip off. If it’s a 2824-2 or some variant of that family, it’s probably a men’s watch. If it’s a 2671, a ladies.
